Genetic Engineering of the Biosynthesis of Glycine Betaine Modulates Phosphate Homeostasis by Regulating Phosphate Acquisition in Tomato

Phosphorus is one of the most abundant plant elements and one of the most demanding nutrients for plants. Studying phosphorus nutrition is of great significance for increasing the yield and quality of tomato plants.

This study specifically investigated the mechanism in which plants become more tolerant to phosphorus deficiency.
